The Doogan Family Endorses Keith Pekau

Dear Orland Park Voter:

I am the grandson of Mayor Melvin Doogan, who was the Mayor of Orland Park for twenty years from 1965-1985. Out of his 16 grandchildren, I was the only one to venture into politics, working for former United States Congresswoman Judy Biggert who represented Orland Park.

I am writing you today to publicly endorse Keith Pekau for Mayor of Orland Park.

When my grandfather become Mayor of Orland Park, the town had a population of roughly 4000 and was just a small community compared to the surrounding villages. When he retired in 1985, Orland Park was a booming city.

My grandfather was a registered independent his entire life and was a true bi-partisan politician. He worked with Democrats and Republicans in the interest of Orland Park and most importantly, its citizens.

For too long, the same politicians have been running Orland Park making promises to its citizens with no results. Keith Pekau can do more – he can get things done. Bringing a wealth of experience in both business and the military, Keith will be a great asset to City Hall. It is time for change, and Keith Pekau will be that agent of change.

My family and I are proud to support Keith Pekau.

Thank you for your support on April 4th.
